1 (24 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
1 large egg
1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese
Instructions
Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli layer.
Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.
Spoon half of the remaining marinara sauce over the mozzarella.
Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, remaining ricotta mixture, and remaining marinara sauce.
Top the final sauce layer with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and the Parmesan cheese.
Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
Bake for 25 minutes.
Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
Let the lazy lasagna rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.
Notes
You can substitute cottage cheese for ricotta cheese if you prefer.
For a meatier version, brown 1 pound of ground beef or Italian sausage and mix it into the marinara sauce before layering.
