Make this easy lazy lasagna casserole using frozen ravioli for a quick, cheesy, and comforting family dinner with minimal effort. It is a perfect weeknight meal.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 1 (24 ounce) package frozen cheese ravioli
  • 1 (24 ounce) jar marinara sauce
  • 1 (15 ounce) container ricotta cheese
  • 1 large egg
  • 1 teaspoon dried Italian seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups shredded mozzarella cheese, divided
  • 1/4 cup grated Parmesan cheese

Instructions

  1. Preheat your oven to 375 degrees Fahrenheit. Lightly grease a 9×13 inch baking dish.
  2. In a large bowl, combine the ricotta cheese, egg, Italian seasoning, and garlic powder. Mix until smooth.
  3. Spread about 1 cup of marinara sauce evenly over the bottom of the prepared baking dish.
  4. Arrange half of the frozen ravioli in a single layer over the sauce.
  5. Spread half of the ricotta mixture over the ravioli layer.
  6. Sprinkle 1 cup of the mozzarella cheese over the ricotta.
  7. Spoon half of the remaining marinara sauce over the mozzarella.
  8. Repeat the layers: remaining ravioli, remaining ricotta mixture, and remaining marinara sauce.
  9. Top the final sauce layer with the remaining 1 cup of mozzarella cheese and the Parmesan cheese.
  10. Cover the baking dish tightly with aluminum foil.
  11. Bake for 25 minutes.
  12. Remove the foil and bake for an additional 5 to 10 minutes, or until the cheese is melted and bubbly.
  13. Let the lazy lasagna rest for 5 minutes before cutting and serving.

Notes

  • You can substitute cottage cheese for ricotta cheese if you prefer.
  • For a meatier version, brown 1 pound of ground beef or Italian sausage and mix it into the marinara sauce before layering.
  • This recipe works well with any flavor of frozen ravioli, such as meat or spinach and cheese.
