Ingredients

Scale
  • 2 lbs sirloin steak, cut into 1-inch cubes
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/2 cup beef broth
  • 1/2 cup butter, cut into pieces
  • 4 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 tablespoons Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 tablespoon soy sauce
  • 1 tablespoon fresh parsley, chopped (for garnish)

Instructions

  1. Place the cubed sirloin steak into the basin of your slow cooker.
  2. Sprinkle the steak evenly with salt, pepper, and garlic powder. Toss gently to coat the steak pieces.
  3. Pour the beef broth and Worcestershire sauce over the steak.
  4. Scatter the pieces of butter evenly over the top of the steak.
  5. Add the minced garlic.
  6. Cover the slow cooker and cook on LOW for 3 to 4 hours, or on HIGH for 1.5 to 2 hours, until the steak is fork-tender. Do not overcook.
  7. Stir in the soy sauce during the last 15 minutes of cooking.
  8. Taste the sauce and adjust seasoning if needed.
  9. Garnish with fresh parsley before serving over mashed potatoes or rice.

Notes

  • For extra rich flavor, you can sear the steak cubes quickly in a hot skillet before adding them to the slow cooker.
  • If you prefer a thicker sauce, remove the steak near the end of cooking, set the slow cooker to HIGH, and let the remaining liquid reduce uncovered for 15-20 minutes.
  • This recipe works well with sirloin or chuck steak cuts.
