Make this easy, creamy clam dip using canned clams and cream cheese. This no-bake appetizer is perfect for parties, game days, or holidays.

Ingredients

Scale
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 1 can (6.5 ounces) minced clams, drained well
  • 1/2 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons mayonnaise
  • 1 tablespoon fresh lemon juice
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1/4 cup finely chopped green onion (scallions)
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • Salt and black pepper to taste
  • Crackers, chips, or vegetable sticks for serving

Instructions

  1. Drain the minced clams thoroughly. Press them between paper towels to remove excess liquid.
  2. In a medium bowl, combine the softened cream cheese, sour cream, and mayonnaise. Beat with a hand mixer or mix well with a sturdy spoon until the mixture is smooth and creamy.
  3. Stir in the drained minced clams, lemon juice, Worcestershire sauce, and garlic powder. Mix until all ingredients are evenly distributed.
  4. Fold in the chopped green onion.
  5. Taste the dip and season with salt and black pepper as needed.
  6. Cover the bowl and chill the clam dip in the refrigerator for at least 1 hour before serving. Chilling allows the flavors to blend.
  7. Serve your rich and flavorful dip cold with your favorite savory chip dip accompaniments.

Notes

  • For a tangier clam dip, increase the lemon juice by one teaspoon.
  • If you prefer a slightly spicier flavor, add a dash of your favorite hot sauce to the mixture.
  • You can make this make ahead party dip up to 24 hours in advance.
