2 slices sourdough bread
1 large egg
1 tablespoon shredded cheddar cheese
1 teaspoon butter, softened
Pinch of salt
Pinch of black pepper
Instructions
Lightly spread butter on one side of each slice of bread.
Use a glass or cookie cutter to press a hole into the center of one slice of bread. This will be the base.
Place the bread slice with the hole into the air fryer basket.
Carefully crack the egg directly into the hole in the bread.
Sprinkle the shredded cheddar cheese over the egg and the surrounding bread.
Season the egg with salt and pepper.
Place the second slice of bread next to the first slice in the air fryer basket, or save it for another use.
Air fry at 375°F (190°C) for 8 to 10 minutes, or until the egg white is set and the cheese is melted and bubbly. Cooking time varies by air fryer model.
